A dashing thief (Douglas Fairbanks) in love with the Caliph of Bagdad’s beautiful daughter (Julanne Johnston) sets off on a magical journey in search of rare and wonderful treasures to win the princess’ hand in marriage. This "Arabian Nights Fantasy," with its exquisite Art Nouveau sets, was and still is one of the most lavishly striking films ever made.

Legendary screen actor John Wayne stars as a cattle-baron who must defend his peaceful territory against a band of corrupt officials intent on disrupting his way of life. Called the best of the John Wayne Westerns by many critics, this sprawling epic centers around the revenge sought by Billy The Kid after his mentor is murdered by greedy bad guys.

Family Plot (1976, 120 min., Rated PG.)
October 3, 2 p.m.

Alfred Hitchcock's longtime fascination with the phenomenon of coincidence reaches its zenith in his last motion picture. The intriguing story concerns two couples—one, a second-rate spiritualist and her taxi driver boyfriend who are searching for the long-lost heir to a fortune; the other, a suave jewel merchant who arranges lucrative kidnappings with the help of his beautiful accomplice. Neither couple knows of the other's existence until their paths accidentally become intertwined. The result is one of Hitchcock's most witty and unpredictable films.
